In conjunction with the release of the new movie "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," Denny's has unveiled a new menu to celebrate the occasion the company said in a press release Tuesday.
"We're thrilled to bring the taste of Middle-earth back to America's Diner," John Dillon, vice president of marketing at Denny's told theonering.net. "Last year's menu attracted both Denny's guests and fans alike with a combination of movie-inspired elements and traditional holiday flavors. This year we're elevating the experience with the introduction of adventurous new flavors, exciting exclusive content and once-in-a-lifetime prizes, taking our guests on a truly authentic dining journey."
The new items include a build-your-own Hobbit Slam, which customers can choose from honey cake french toast, sweet potato pecan pancakes, and breakfast sausage the press release reported.
There is also the bilbo's breakfast feast, the hobbit hole breakfast, smaug's fire burger, dwarves' turkey dressing dinner, bard's pumpkin pie milk shake, elven woodland pies available in pumpkin or pecan for $2 on the franchise chain's two, four, six, eight value menu.
Customers can also have Radagast's red velvet pancake puppies, bowman's brew pumpkin coffee, or the restaurant's signature diner roast, available in vanilla or hazelnut.
The menu items, which consist of breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and late-night items are available all day every day for $5.99.
Customers also get a new and improved interactive placement, which has photos of the movie, artwork about the film, and an element allowing customers to get a behind-the-scenes look on the picture, and a preview of the restaurant's plans for television.
Denny's "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" Advisory Board" provided input about different aspects pertaining to the movie such as creating names for Denny's menus, and choosing the top five entries from its Search For Middle Earth's Greatest Fan Video Contest.
