There were reports that Liam Hemsworth is dating his "Independence Day 2" co-star Maika Monroe.
It's been more than two years since the 25-year-old actor ended his engagement from Miley Cyrus. Finally, he has found a new girlfriend and the 22-year-old actress has gotten the approval of his family including Chris Hemsworth.
According to OK! Magazine, the "Thor" star is really happy that his younger brother has found new romance. "The Hemsworth family has been desperate for Liam to find love again. After Miley, he really did turn into a bit of a dating hermit," their insider revealed.
The website reported that Chris Hemsworth had a love/hate relationship with the 22-year-old singer, but he knows how much his younger brother loved her and he took quite some time to recover from their breakup.
"Now he's hooked up with Maika, Chris has informed his curious parents that she's a winner and she's showing him how to smile again," their source said. "Everyone's very excited about this romance, but no one more than Liam and Maika. They're falling madly in love!"
The "Independence Day 2" co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Maika Monroe haven't denied nor confirmed that they are dating, but witnesses saw their closeness during Roland Emmerich's bash for the cast held a few months ago.
"His hand was on her butt as she was grinding into him and they were making out at the bar," an insider told Us Weekly.
According to the website, other cast members including Vivica A. Fox, Bill Pullman and Lance Bass were near the rumored couple but they weren't bothered by their presence.
"Liam was draped all over her. It was so PDA and in-your-face," their source said.
