There seems to be love brewing on the set of "Independence Day 2" or officially called "Independence Day: Resurgence."
There have been reports coming out that Liam Hemsworth, who stars as Jake Morrison, is hooking up with his co-star Maika Monroe who plays Patricia Whitmore in the sequel.
According to US Weekly, the 25-year-old actor and the 22-year-old actress were caught getting too close for comfort during the bash thrown by the film's director Roland Emmerich.
"His hand was on her butt as she was grinding into him and they were making out at the bar," an insider revealed.
Other cast members including Bill Pullman, Vivica A. Fox, and Lance Bass were also present at the party, but that doesn't seem to bother the rumored couple.
"Liam was draped all over her. It was so PDA and in-your-face," the source added.
"Independence Day 2" co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Maika Monroe were also spotted getting some drinks in Malibu last month, which may have confirmed that they are dating.
However, the blonde beauty's pal revealed that they are not officially a couple yet but their chemistry is ridiculous.
Apart from headlining "The Hunger Games" film series, the Aussie heartthrob is also known for being Miley Cyrus' ex-fiancé. The two met on the set of "The Last Song" in 2009 and started dating in 2010. They broke up twice before getting engaged in 2012 but they called off their engagement in 2013.

"She's ready for him to propose again and he thinks they're just hooking up," a source told Life and Style (via Hollywood Life). "Liam is happy Miley is such a free spirit. But if she thinks he'll marry her, she's delusional." Maybe because Liam Hemsworth already had his eyes set on his "Independence Day 2" co-star Maika Monroe.
