Almost all of the original cast members are reportedly making a cameo in "Ghostbusters 3" except for Rick Moranis who starred as Louis Tully.
Even Bill Murray, who had openly declined doing a sequel, is going to make an appearance in the reboot.
The actor who played Peter Venkman in the 1984 supernatural comedy revealed that it took him a long time before he agreed on doing the role.
"I was seriously thinking about this for years, really ... It kept eating at me, and I really respect those girls," he told Yahoo! Movies.
"And then I started to feel like if I didn't do this movie, maybe somebody would write a bad review or something, thinking there was some sort of disapproval [on my part]," the 64-year-old actor added.
While Bill Murray had a change of heart because of director Paul Feig and the female cast, Rick Moranis isn't going to let anyone pressure him in making a cameo.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 62-year-old actor revealed the reason why he turned down doing a "Ghostbusters 3" cameo.
"I hope it's terrific. But it just makes no sense to me. Why would I do just one day of shooting on something I did 30 years ago?" he explained.
Rick Moranis has also starred in other classic comedy flicks such as "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids," "Spaceballs" and "The Flintstones."
However, he took a break from Hollywood when his wife passed away so he can take good care of their two children.
Some people thought that the Canadian actor already retired, but he has just been very picky about his projects.
"I still get the occasional query about a film or television role... and as soon as one comes along that piques my interest, I'll probably do it. [But 'Ghostbusters'] didn't appeal to me."
Rick Moranis also revealed that it's hard to come up with original material for "Ghostbusters 3" and he seems satisfied turning down Paul Feig's reboot.
"Occasionally, they get it right or else they wouldn't attempt to do these things," he said. "I'm happy with the things I said yes to, and I'm very happy with the many things I've said no to. Yes, I am picky, and I'll continue to be picky. Picky has worked for me."
