Just in time for Halloween, Dunkin Donuts is bringing back its infamous Boston Scream donut the company reported in a press release.
"With Halloween approaching, Dunkin' Donuts, America's all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, is lifting spirits in fun ways to celebrate the holiday," the company said in a statement. "For a frightfully delicious treat to keep guests and ghosts alike running this week, Dunkin' Donuts' bewitching bevy includes the return of the Boston Scream Donut, Dunkin' Donuts' spooktacular seasonal variation of its classic Boston Kreme donut, tricked out for the holiday with an orange icing drizzle."
The product is on sale until Halloween at select Dunkin Donuts restaurants throughout the country along with its new pumpkin pie donut.
Customers will still be able to enjoy the company's signature pumpkin food items, and beverages including pumpkin coffees, frozen pumpkin coffee coolatta, lattes, donuts, muffins.
Customers can also buy special Halloween munchkins in boxes of 25 or 50. The packaging is decorated for the holiday, and has small donuts in costumes the press release reported.
A Dunkin Donuts mobile card is also available in new designs for the season including cartoon images of jack-o-lanterns illuminated by the company's coffee, zombies coming up from the ground, and vampires. Customers can also send digital gift cards via a text message, e-mail, or Facebook.
Those customers who send tweets to @Dunkin Donuts or send photos of their Dunkin Donuts cups donned in Halloween attire to the company's Instagram account with the hashtag #dresseDD, from Tuesday until Monday will be eligible to win a $100 Dunkin Donuts mGift from the company's second annual #dresseDD Twitter, and Instagram contest at certain of the company's franchise locations.
The company will disclose the top five winners who have the best creativity, and spirit for the holiday Oct. 31.
The contest is applicable to those 18 and over.
