Katie Holmes rarely flaunts Suri Cruise, but her Instagram post a few weeks ago may appear that she's trying to let Tom Cruise know that their little girl is all grown up now.
The 36-year-old actress shared a photo of her hugging their 9-year-old daughter and wrote "My Sweetie" with heart emojis.
The "Miss Meadows" star also brought Suri Cruise on stage during the 2015 Global Citizen Festival where she was the host of the event. Tom Cruise's little girl faced thousands of participants at the Central Park in New York City on Sept. 26.
According to Us Weekly, Katie Holmes even encouraged her look-alike daughter to wave at the crowd who were gathered to watch live performances from today's hottest musicians including Ed Sheeran, Beyonce, and Pearl Jam.
Suri Cruise was last seen in a public event with his mother back in March. They attended the 2015 Kids' Choice Awards in Hollywood together with other celebrity kids including Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's children Zahara and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.
There were reports that Katie Holmes is demanding more money for child support from her ex-husband Tom Cruise. Maybe that's why she's trying to flaunt Suri to him so he will realize that she's all grown up and has more needs.
"While Katie's taking every acting job that comes her way, she doesn't have the ability to keep her and Suri living the lifestyle that Tom's fortune allowed," an insider told Life & Style.
According to the website, the brunette beauty only gets $400,000 a year and she wants that to get amended to a higher amount.
"There's also the fact that Suri is getting older and needs more money to travel back and forth across the country with Katie, as well as for her dance, skating and music lessons, new clothes, arts and crafts and tutors," their source explained.
"Her needs will only grow exponentially over the next few years financially, which has Holmes preparing ... to make sure she gets the money she needs," their source added.
After emotionally appearing in court back in 2012, Katie Holmes is now prepared to face her ex-husband Tom Cruise for the sake of Suri.
"She's grown a lot tougher since splitting from Tom," a source revealed. "The marriage was suffocating her, but she's no longer afraid."
