Ryan Reynolds and the rest of the cast has wrapped up filming "Deadpool" back in May, but not many people know that the lead star of the movie stole something on set.
During an interview with MSN, the 38-year-old actor confessed that he wanted to take home a souvenir and all he could think of was his red and black costume.
"I loved wearing it and I have run away with one - I'll probably get into trouble for saying that, but I've waited 10 years to do this movie so I'm leaving with a fucking suit," he admitted. Back in July, Ryan Reynolds revealed the hard work they did to have the perfect costume for the antihero.
"Here's the thing with the Deadpool costume, we fought like hell to get that as though it jumped right out of the comic," he told ComicBook. "Our goal was to make this the most faithful comic book to movie adaptation fans have ever seen. That's hard to accomplish and a feat, but we're just so happy with how this came out."
Blake Lively's husband also admitted that they had a lot of fight during the process of creating the red and black suit.
"There was a lot of work with very little time. Fox gave us the green light and we had to be on camera in twelve weeks. That's NO time for prep," he explained. "So we kept fighting and fighting to make tweaks to the suit. Like when the deadline has passed and we were still going back and forth."
Thankfully, the lead star and director of "Deadpool" got the result they wanted and they even got emotional when they saw it for the first time.
"When we finally saw that suit, fully done, finished and completed...both Tim Miller and I wept," Reynolds admitted.
"I'm not even exaggerating, we wept in Simi Valley California in some warehouse where some guy makes all these crazy suits and had this one under a spotlight. We walked in and we wept. Tears coming down our cheeks. It felt so good," he added.
No wonder Ryan Reynolds was tempted to steal his costume because it was done to perfection. See how the suit fits on the actor when "Deadpool" hits the theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.
