ConAgra Recalls Kroger's Break 'N Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Packages For Peanuts

ConAgra Foods has recalled a limited number of Kroger's Break 'N Bake chocolate chip cookie dough packages which were packed with peanut butter cup cookie dough according to the United States Food and Drug Administration's website.

ConAgra Foods is informing people who may have been affected by the news through an alert with Food Allergy Research and Education as the product may contain peanuts the administration said.

"People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product," the Food and Drug Administration's website reported.

The packages come in 16 oz. have the Unit UPC of 1111087530, and a use by date of Nov. 24, 2013 the company said. No other products are affected. No illnesses have been reported.

According to the administration, the items were sold in Kroger, Dillons, Baker's, Gerbes, Food Co., Food 4 Less, Fred Meyer, Fry's, Jay C, Owen's, Pay Less, Scott's, QFC, and Ralphs and Smith's stores the administration reported.

The product was shipped to Kroger distribution centers and stores in 26 states including Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Kroger stores in its southwest division in Texas, and Louisiana, delta division stores in western Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, western Kentucky, and southern Missouri, and King Soopers, and City Market locations in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming are not affected by the recall the administration reported.

Customers who bought the product are advised to return it to the store where they purchased it for a full refund the administration said. Those who have questions about the news can call 800-252-0634 24 hours per day seven days a week.
