"Gotham" season 2 release date is coming and fans of the Fox show are really excited.
However, that feeling might be replaced with sadness as the pilot episode will feature one death.
Megabuzz reported that when "Gotham" season 2 release date arrives, the episode will stay true to what it advertised. The second season will be more about the rise of the villains and the new characters will definitely ascend to make their presence felt. This might include death of a character.
"The majority of the mayhem comes at the hands of new villain Theo Galavan (James Frain), who unleashes terror on the city by forming a band of criminals called the Maniax, a murderers' row of escaped Arkham Asylum inmates that includes, among others, Season 1's Joker-esque mother killer Jerome (Cameron Monaghan)," the entertainment website wrote.
With these new villains, people will be in danger and someone fans already seen will die. Is he/she connected to Ben McKenzie's James Gordon.
"So who's heading to an early grave? Let's just say that one of the deaths is so sudden and unexpected, it caught us completely off-guard," the website further wrote.
"The other, meanwhile, rocks an already reeling James Gordon to the core and will serve as a motivating force for him all season long."
It is hard to speculate who will die from the show as most of the leading characters are big names in Batman mythology. Oswald Cobblepot, Edward Nygma, Selina Kyle, and Harvey Dent all went on to become the Dark Knight's nemesis.
Barbara Gordon also cannot, or must not, die because he and James Gordon will produce a girl that will turn into the the Batgirl. The same can be said for Dr. Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) who has just been promoted into a series regular.
So who is it gonna be? "Gotham" season 2 release date is September 21.
