Pie Five Pizza has brought back its infamous Hatch Chile Pie for a limited time only according to restaurantnews.com.
"Hatch chiles have developed a fanatical following thanks to their signature flavor, and our customers loved our Hatch Chile Pie last year," Pie Five Chef Andy Wittman told Restaurant News. "They keep asking when we're bringing it back, and I'm happy to say the answer is now!"
The pie with a sweet and spicy southwestern flair consists of chicken, Hatch chiles, red onions, mozzarella and cheddar chesses, and spicy red pepper sauce is available until Sept. 29 Restaurant News reported.
Customers can select from an ample selection of pizzas made by hand, and several different specialty pies, which are made in under five minutes with one of four available crusts Restaurant News reported.
According to Restaurant News, Pie Five has received many accolades including: 2013 Top 50 Restaurant Brand of the Year, a 2012 Hot Concepts winner by Nation's Restaurant News, and inclusion as one of 10 Hot New Restaurant Chains from Established Brands by Forbes.com.
The company has 11 locations in Texas, and one in Kansas, North Carolina, and Utah Restaurant News reported.
There are also 95 franchises in Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Utah and Virginia Restaurant News reported.
