Mooyah Burgers, Fries, and Shakes is expanding to North Carolina, according to restaurantnews.com.
"Paired with our strong North American growth, including our recent 50th restaurant opening milestone in the United States, targeted individual market development is increasingly a large part of our strategic expansion plans," Mooyah Burgers, Fries, and Shakes Director of Franchise told Restaurant News. "Through the local developer, we have the ability to penetrate a market with someone embedded in the local business community."
The "better burger" company plans to open up more locations throughout the surrounding area beginning with Charlotte, N.C. and then expanding to Raleigh, and Greensboro in a move which will add 75 new jobs throughout the state when all is said and done Restaurant News reported.
The first location is expected in the southern part of Charlotte by the end of the year Restaurant News reported.
"I moved to North Carolina solely to bring the MOOYAH brand here. I think it's a fantastic brand that poses a great opportunity for entrepreneurs looking for a new venture," development agent John Ficara told Restaurant News.
"My family and I visited the restaurant in Williamsburg, Va. and we loved its playful and modern energy," locally-based development agent John Ficara said. "The Guest experience, as well as the freshness and quality of the ingredients, are really second to none. Additionally, the brand is so family-oriented; actually, my kids want to work at the restaurant when we open our first one."
The idea for expansion along the southern part of the east coast started in the Dallas, Texas Metro Area where the company has 22 locations for people to eat in and enjoy meals under 600 calories Restaurant News reported.
Mooyah currently exists in 11 states, and has visions to expand internationally while increasing the number of its franchises to about 65 Restaurant News reported. The company increased its locations from 25 to 48.
