‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 5’ Spoilers: Kaya Scodelario Talked About Her Role And Jack Sparrow

| By

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is due for release next year and not much details have been revealed about the movie and some new characters.

What many people know is that Johnny Depp will return as Captain Jack Sparrow. The sequel also brings back some of the original cast including Orlando Bloom, Javier Bardem, and Geoffrey Rush.

Apart from the aforementioned big time Hollywood actors, newcomer Kaya Scodelario will also be appearing in the fifth installment.

During an interview with Digital Spy, the 23-year-old actress revealed her role and dished out some "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" spoilers.

"It [does have] a lot more of the first movie [Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl], that's what they wanted to bring it back to," Scodelario explained. "[The producers] want to take it back to the beginning again. They wanted it to have this epic journey, and for it to make sense, and for it to tie things up, and also lead to new storylines."

No wonder they are bringing back some of the main characters from the previous "Pirates of the Caribbean" films. However, Keira Knightley confirmed that she's not reprising her role of Elizabeth Swan in the fifth installment.

"My time has definitely passed, I loved it, it was an amazing experience but I won't be going back," she told BBC Radio 2.

Kaya Scodelario also talked about her character Carina Smyth and shared more "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" spoilers.

"[Carina] is an astronomer, and she is an academic. She's fighting for the right to study at university, because women couldn't at that time," she explained.

"So she's on her own journey - looking for the trident of Poseidon - and she has a diary with clues, and she encounters Jack Sparrow along the way, and he messes everything up. As he does. And it's fun!" the British beauty added.

Catch Johnny Depp, Kaya Scodelario and the rest of the cast in "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" as it hit the theaters on July 7, 2017.
