In celebration of National Ice Cream Day on July 21, Baskin-Robbins is celebrating by offering its fans the chance to win a year's worth of ice cream via Twitter.
On July 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., followers of @BaskinRobbins who tweet the ice cream flavor they think goes best in a waffle cone using the hashtag #BRflavors will be entered.
Baskin-Robbins will then randomly select winners for either one of 10 $31 Baskin-Robbins gift cards. There will also be one grand prize winner who will receive $260 in Baskin-Robbins gift cards, which is enough to cover a year supply of ice cream.
"National Ice Cream Month is the perfect time to enjoy your favorite ice cream flavor, and this year we wanted our guests to have fun by learning what their favorite flavor says about them," said Dan Wheeler, vice president of U.S. Brand and Field Marketing for Baskin-Robbins. "We also can't wait to give one lucky Baskin-Robbins fan the chance to win free ice cream for a year through our National Ice Cream Twitter Sweepstakes this Sunday."
Ronald Reagan officially designated July as National Ice Cream Month in 1984 when he asked the nation to celebrate with "appropriate ceremonies and activities." He claimed 90 percent of Americans enjoyed the fun and nutritious treat. Read the proclamation here.
