Chipotle and Tapingo, a mobile application that allows students to order food from local restaurants to their college campuses, have partnered up to bring Mexican food to customers around the United States.
Both companies will launch a delivery service at 40 college campuses nationally and expect to continue expanding by Spring 2016, ABC News reports.
"Chipotle has been popular with students going back to our very first restaurant near the University of Denver, and we are always looking for ways to better engage with them," Chipotle official Mark Crumpacker said in a news release, according to the site.
"Tapingo, which has been well received by students where its services are available, knows how to connect with these younger customers. That shared acceptance among younger customers made them a great choice for us to expand delivery aimed specifically at students."
Tapingo currently holds partnerships with New York University, Santa Clara University, Trinity College, the University of Southern California, and several others.
Chipotle, one of the fastest-growing food chains in the United States, is set to host its first-annual National Career Day on Sept. 9 at locations across the country.
The company's leadership promises to offer up to 4,000 entry-level jobs around the United States at the event, according to the Chicago Tribune. Managers will be interviewing up to 60 applicants from 8 to 11 a.m.
Chipotle's program falls in line with the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative, which serves as a coalition of corporations looking to address high youth unemployment across the country. Domino's and Starbucks are also involved with the initiative.
Morgan Stanley analysts expect Chipotle to double its number of locations in coming years, Business Insider reports. The Mexican Grill boasts over 1,700 venues and hundreds of new locations under development.
