It's just been over a month since Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce, but it seems that the two are doing a good job finding ways to cope up with the breakup.
The 31-year-old songstress has started going out on dates with her girl friends while the 39-year-old musician gets some love from his girl - she was just his dog though.
However, it seems that Shelton is now eyeing a real girl and he revealed it in one of the teasers of "The Voice."
According to Gossip Cop, the coach wanted to work with supermodel Kate Upton.
"I would actually want Kate to sit right next to me," he said. "Musically, I would be interested in hearing her ideas. I feel like I could learn from her," the newly divorced added.
Too bad, the 23-year-old model is currently dating Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. There were rumors that the two already break up, but new reports revealed them enjoying a daring adventure in Canada together. Kate Upton even shared adorable photos of her with her boyfriend on Instagram.
Maybe Blake Shelton was just trying to make his estranged wife Miranda Lambert jealous, but the "Little Red Wagon" singer may not have time to feel that since she's busy writing songs.
The Southern beauty teased her followers on Instagram that she's making new music when she wrote, "Food for thought! Late night writing session was a success!"
Lambert is confident about her music that she used the hashtag "platinum" so it may be an epic breakup song. Shelton reportedly admitted that he won't win over his ex-wife when it comes to writing songs.
"Even after the split, Blake was the first one to declare that she's not only a better lyricist than him, but she's also a faster songwriter," an insider told Radar Online.
Blake Shelton is also busy with the new season of "The Voice" that's why he does not intend on competing with Miranda Lambert.
"Quite frankly he knows Miranda would win hands down when it comes to songwriting or record sales," their source said. "He just flat-out says she's lot better than him and will write a better break-up song than he could ever come up with."
