The 25-year-old singer was nominated for nine awards, which she would definitely want to share with her 31-year-old boyfriend, but he wasn't able to make it to the event.
There were rumors coming out that the Scottish DJ may be jealous about Scott Eastwood, who was featured in her girlfriend's latest music video. However, there was a good reason why Calvin wasn't able to join Taylor at the VMAs.
According to Bustle, Harris was on tour in Europe and even shared a Snapchat on Sunday that he was performing alongside Ellie Goulding in Glasgow.
It would be impossible for him to fly from Scotland to California so there is no truth that he intentionally ditched Swift at the MTV Music Video Awards.
The award-winning singer shared a short clip of her music video for "Wildest Dreams" at the VMAs. Taylor Swift and Scott Eastwood have been teasing their fans about the steamy video.
The "Bad Blood" singer posted a black-and-white photo of her together with her leading man on Instagram and captioned it, "Say you'll remember me, standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset, babe."
Clint Eastwood's son also shared the same photo on Instagram and wrote, "What an amazing time working with @taylorswift Not only is she a rockstar. But someone I am proud to call a friend. She is a great person and those are hard to find in your life. When you do.... Hold tight."
During an interview with PrideSource, the 29-year-old actor confessed that he gets turned on sometimes when shooting love scenes.
"I'm only one man! I can only do what I can do. But I think it's sexy. I mean, being in a shower with a beautiful, sexy woman - I was turned on! I had fun!" Scott Eastwood referring to his sex scene with Britt Robertson in his film "The Longest Ride."
