Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have become more vocal about their relationship, but does that mean they can start meddling with each other's issues?
According to Billboard, the 31-year-old DJ got pissed off with one of Zayn Malik's posts on Twitter.
The former One Direction member re-tweeted a post from @femaletexts which compared Taylor Swift to Miley Cyrus. They shared a screenshot of the musicians' interview with the "Bad Blood" singer saying,
"People can still listen to my music if they get it on iTunes. I'm always up for trying something. And I tried it and I didn't like the way it felt. I think."
The "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker's philosophy is very different from Swift.
"I've made my money. If no one buys my album, cool. It's fine. I've got a house, and I've got dogs that I love. I don't need anything else," Cyrus said.
It seems that Calvin Harris got furious that someone's trying to diss his girlfriend for standing up against Spotify's new music policy. Some people think that Taylor is being greedy, but her boyfriend claims that she's protecting striving musicians.
"@FemaleTexts @zaynmalik You've made your money? Cool...fuck the 99% of musicians who depend on these services to survive right? Yeah fuck em," the Scottish DJ wrote on Twitter. "If u don't get what it means when a successful artist uses their celebrity to benefit every other musician and songwriter in the industry...stay out my fuckin mentions pls."
Zayn Malik saw the Twitter post of Taylor Swift's boyfriend and reacted to it.
"@CalvinHarris ha you just made an absolute fool of yourself mate," the 22-year-old singer wrote. "You clearly didn't understand what I just said either... so I suggest you calm your knickers before them dentures fall out."
The EDM superstar finally managed to calm down and tried to make peace with the former boyband member.
"All good, it was the quote not you personally mate," Harris wrote. "Best of luck, genuinely. You've got a great voice," he added.
However, Zayn Malik continued slamming Calvin Harris and wrote, "Oh and I write my own shit too dickhead."
