David Mazouz's Bruce Wayne is still a boy when "Gotham" season 2 release date comes. However, that is enough for him to join the bigwigs of the of the city's underworld.
Talking to Comicbook.com, the 14-year old actor said his character will be more courageous now compared to the first season.
"I think over the year I just kind of learned who Bruce was: his weaknesses, his strengths, the things that he likes to do, the things he doesn't - I really got to know who Bruce Wayne is. With that knowledge, I'm able to bring a whole new approach to season 2," the actor said when asked what will change about Bruce Wayne in second season of "Gotham."
"That approach is that I think Bruce in season 1 was very honest, and very straight-forward, whereas in season 2 he learns that you can't be that way in Gotham. (laughs) There's a game you have to play. It's a game of manipulation, a game of corruption, and Bruce is going to start to play it."
"Gotham" season 2 release date will open a big storyline for Bruce Wayne after discovering his father's secret room in the first season's finale.
He told in separate interview with Comic Book Resources that that room will be a turning point for the young Bruce Wayne. From there on, a new chapter will open.
"Finding that room, that very last scene in the season finale, is going to be a turning point," he said.
"It's going to change everything in Bruce's life. It's going to turn the page to a different chapter in every aspect of his life into becoming Batman. What I mean, for example, is the Bruce and Alfred relationship. In season one, they were butting heads a lot. They were constantly disagreeing about things. In season two, because of that cave, they are going to go through a really rocky patch at the beginning. Once they get through it, they are really going to start becoming a team, like the Alfred/Batman relationship when they are older. They are really going to start becoming a team."
"Gotham" season 2 release date is on Sept. 21.
