From villains to new allies, everything is pretty much set when "Gotham" season 2 release date arrives.
Newcomers will surely make their mark this season but what about the old ones?
Friendships and alliances have been made in the first season but after the events in first season's finale, it seems some of which will collapse.
It has been advertised that Ben McKenzie's Det. James Gordon and Robin Lord Taylor's Oswald Cobblepot will find themselves in opposite sides once "Gotham" season 2 release date comes.
Another "couple" is possibly not in good terms when the show returns. Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova).
With the Wayne heir set to embrace a new persona, his friendship with Selina will also be affected.
"It will change it. I don't really know too much about that. I know Bruce doesn't really know what she's been up to," Mazouz said of Bruce-Selina storyline during an interview with Comic Book Resources.
"And if he did, he would disprove. When she killed Reggie, he stopped talking to her for a little bit. Kinda. He needed her after that. If he had a choice, he would stop talking to her for a little bit. Bruce and Selena have a certain chemistry that is unbreakable. For some reason, they both like each other. Whether that's in a brother/sister way, a friend way or a romantic way, there's something between them that's never going to change. They might go through rocky patches -- I know that some of that is going to happen this season -- but they are always going to end up back together somehow."
Mazouz said in recent interviews that Bruce Wayne will start his transformation to become the Dark Knight that he is supposed to be.
This includes becoming a millionaire playboy to hide his unusual activities. He and Selina are not a couple. This might not also be the reason why they will have a fall out. The more likely reason is because Selina would rather go break the law.
"Gotham" season 2 release date is Sept. 21.
