Sony and Marvel are really gearing up for "Spider-Man" and they have recently revealed the writers of the reboot.
Deadline reported that "Vacation" writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein are set to write the script of the upcoming Jon Watts movie.
According to the website, the duo was supposed to direct the film but it instead went to "Cop Car" filmmaker. Daley and Goldstein are more known for their comedies including "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" and "Cloudy with a Chance Of Meatballs 2" so fans may see a lighter side of the web-slinging superhero which will be played by Tom Holland.
Now that fans have met the good guy, they are now excited to meet his enemy. According to Umberto Gonzales of Heroic Hollywood, the new villain could be a new character.
"Last week, Karen Moy, the Vice President of Creative Affairs over at Sony (Ms. Moy has run the story department at Sony for almost twenty years) purchased a copy of 'Kraven's Last Hunt' trade paperback on Amazon," his sources revealed.
So who is Karen Moy? Gonzales discovered that she has bought some books for her former boss Amy Pascal before so there's a high possibility that she was asked to do the same because they are planning to introduce Kraven as the new villain in the "Spider-Man" reboot.
So who is this new character? Based on Marvel wikia, his real name is Sergei Kravinoff and he was born into an aristocracy that had come to an end. Kraven became one of the greatest hunters in the world, but he later on got bored hunting.
His associate, who also happens to be his half-brother, suggested that he hunt for Spider-Man. This new challenge gave him a new purpose in this life. He may not have any super powers, but he developed superhuman physical attributes after ingesting Calypso's mythical potions.
"Spider-Man" reboot is scheduled for release on July 28, 2017 so fans can expect to see the full list of cast members in the coming months.
