Their characters Bella Swan and Edward Cullen were brought to life by the two celebrities.
Their on-screen chemistry was so great that some fans still have a hard time separating their life outside the movie. Some Twihards still hope that the former lovers would reunite because they're so hooked up on the film adaptation of Stephanie Meyer's novel series.
One of the highlights of the "Twilight" trilogy is the sex scene of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. Even the director himself was impressed by the performance of the 25-year-old actress.
"I'd been a fan of Kristen's before 'Breaking Dawn,' and I loved working with her," Bill Condon told Vanity Fair via Mirror magazine.
"She's incredibly smart and committed, she played such a range of emotions across a single film, from wedding jitters to death throes to vampire orgasm - I mean, if you can pull that off, you can do anything," the 59-year-old filmmaker explained.
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson looked so natural doing the sex scene, but not many people knew that the actress felt awkward doing that part of the film.
During an interview with Harper's Bazaar, the star of "Clouds of Sils Maria" admitted that she had sleepless nights because of the pressure she felt doing the love scene with her ex-boyfriend.
"I only hate (sex scenes) when they're contrived. That's when it's grotesquely uncomfortable," she confessed. "On Twilight we had to do the most epic sex scene of all time. It had to be transcendent and otherworldly, inhuman, better sex than you can possibly ever imagine, and we were like, 'How do we live up to that?' It was agony... I wanted it to be so good," Kristen explained.
There were rumors coming out that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson may reunite in another movie.
The "Twilight" producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey revealed that they still get in touch with the actors and find something else to work on together. The big question is if the former lovers are willing to appear in a film together now that they have found new love.
