There have been rumors coming out that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are heading for a divorce. New reports confirmed that the 39-yearold country superstar and the 31-year-old songstress are ending their four-year marriage.
"This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately," the couple's representatives told Us Weekly. "We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert first met in 2005 when they both did the 100 Greatest Duets Concert. He was still married to Kaynette Williams during that time, but they got divorced in 2006. "The Voice" coach started dating the "Nashville Star" finalist after his breakup and got married in 2011.
They are one of the most adored couples in Hollywood and always have good things to say to each other. During an interview with Marie Claire last December, Miranda can't help but gush over her husband Blake.
"I'm not sunshine and roses. Blake's the happiest person on the planet. He pulls me out of my darkness," she said. "Literally everything is the best about being married." The "Lonely Tonight" hitmaker also dismissed the divorce on Twitter.
However, the songstress admitted that her husband thinks she's complicated. "Blake says I'm complicated, but, I mean, all girls are," Lambert confessed. The Oklahoma-born musician tried to explain why he said that and also revealed that she's doing a lot. "At some point, she's going to need to divvy out some responsibility," Blake said.
Maybe Miranda's complex personality caused their divorce, but new reports revealed that Blake got tired of her cheating ways. Shelton filed for a divorce because he believed that Lambert was unfaithful, not once but twice," TMZ reported.
Sources revealed to the website that the "Little Red Wagon" singer hooked up with Chris Young. Apart from the 30-year-old country singer, Blake Shelton's wife also cheated on him with another guy. He filed for a divorce because he was able to gather enough information to prove that Miranda Lambert has been unfaithful to him.
