A Georgia woman says she got more than a Happy Meal when she ordered a breakfast burrito for her 4-year-old daughter from a McDonald's restaurant last Wednesday.
KMOV reported Francis Rosario, from Gwinnett County, claims she found a nose ring in the breakfast burrito.
The girl was only a few bites away from swallowing the bling, which was tucked inside the burrito, according to CBS affiliate WGCL-TV.
"I turned it, and I see this piece of jewelry sticking out," said Rosario, who contacted the station after trying to reach out to the Lawrenceville McDonald's. "I'm like, 'What the heck is this?'"
Rosario said she has tried to speak to the manager of the McDonald's franchise at Lawrenceville but has had no luck, and no one has returned her calls.
Rosario said she called the McDonald's franchise as well as corporate headquarters in Illinois, but never heard back. She's since lost her patience with - and appetite for - the restaurant.
"For now, I'm going to stay back from McDonald's for a little while," Rosario told WGCL-TV.
The Daily Mail reports that McDonald's employee guidelines forbid "large loop earrings" and state that "visible body piercing must be removed with the exception of one small earring in each ear and a small stud nose piecing."
