‘Deadpool’ Will Be Ryan Reynolds’ Last Movie With Marvel? ‘I Have No Desire To Play Any Other Superheroes After This’

Ryan Reynolds and the rest of the cast has recently wrapped up filming "Deadpool" and most of his fans are wondering if they'll see more of the actor after the movie hits the theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.

During an interview with HuffPost Live, the 38-year-old actor revealed that the fictional antihero will be his last superhero movie.

"We all want to be Batman alone at home in our specifically-sewn Bat pajammies, but no, I have no desire to play any other superheroes after this," Reynolds admitted. However, that doesn't mean that "Deadpool" will be his last movie with Marvel. Blake Lively's husband showed interest in doing a sequel.

"Hopefully we'll get to do 'Deadpool' again. Given the fact that it's rated R, the fans have to show their support for it, and they have to come out and make it worthwhile for the studio to make another one, but that's it for me," Ryan said. "I've punched that superhero card a few times now, and that's enough."

Ryan Reynolds was first introduced as Wade Wilson in "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" back in 2009. After three years, he portrayed Hal Jordan a.k.a. Green Lantern in its first standalone movie. Instead of wearing that green suit again, Marvel decided to let Reynolds wear the red suit in "Deadpool."

When asked which suit he prefers wearing, Ryan hands off chose Deadpool since he wasn't wearing any costume in Green Lantern.

"I mean, it's brutal doing a film where you're wearing a motion capture suit for the whole time," he explained to Screenrant. "Just as an actor it's brutal, but like - a lot of people relate to [Deadpool] because he has cancer."

Ryan Reynolds also expressed how much he enjoys wearing his costume.

"So we worked a lot with the Make a Wish Foundation and those kids would come on set, and I loved hosting them. Because when I'd walk out in that suit, you'd watch their minds explode, and that felt amazing," he said. "And that's something I never really got to experience before because there was no Green Lantern suit."

The Hollywood hunk also admitted that he never knew what his costume looked like not until the first trailer came out. Since Ryan Reynolds had clearly showed more love to portraying Deadpool more than Green Lantern, fans can expect to see him wear that suit again in another Marvel movie before he bids farewell. Who knows, he may even team up with Hugh Jackman in "Wolverine 3."
