The director of "Ghostbusters 3" has been teasing his followers on Twitter by sharing photos about the upcoming movie.
Paul Feig first revealed the uniform that the female cast will be wearing in the remake. It even has name tags of on it, which confirmed that Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones will be taking over the role of Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and the late Harold Ramis.
Next was the proton pack, which was used in the original "Ghostbusters" movie to catch ghosts. The 52-year-old filmmaker shared another photo of this gadget that included more details about its different parts such as the Plasma Ignition Chamber, Cryogen Reservoir with Convection Shield, and the Miniaturized Superconducting Proton Synchrotron (MSPS).
A few hours after sharing the proton pack, Paul Feig unveiled the iconic Ecto-1 which was used by the original Ghostbusters to get around New York City and bust some ghosts. In the first film, the vehicle that was used as Ecto-1 was a 1959 Cadillac professional chassis which was later on repaired to give more room for the proton packs and the whole gang based on Wikia.
During an interview with Empire a few months ago, "Ghostbusters 3" director Paul Feig revealed that he won't be totally copying the 1984 film.
"We're not recreating the old movie but we want to do just enough fun nods that the fans will go, 'Oh, okay, they're acknowledging that the other movie existed,'" he said. The "Bridesmaids" director may have started sharing the fun nods on Twitter and some of the fans were thrilled to see those.
In a separate report, Emma Stone, who was once rumored to join the cast of "Ghostbusters 3" explained why she turned down the movie. "The script was really funny. It just didn't feel like the right time for me," Andrew Garfield's girlfriend told WSJ Magazine (via E! Online).
"A franchise is a big commitment-it's a whole thing," the 26-year-old actress explained. "I think maybe I need a minute before I dive back into that water." Despite not having Emma Stone in the remake, Paul Feig is confident that the lead stars of "Ghostbusters 3" will do an awesome job. "All I know is my ladies are going to kick ass and I would not want to go into battle without them," he told Variety.
