"Ghostbusters 3" isn't going to be just another chick flick as most people think it would be when Paul Feig announced that the movie will headline funny women.
Known for directing "Bridesmaids", "The Heat" and the recently released "Spy", the 52-year-old filmmaker assures fans that he won't ruin their childhood.
Paul Feig has gained a lot of haters for getting an all-female lead cast for the remake; but his choices Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones may actually pull it off.
The director also addressed the rumors of a Channing Tatum and Chris Pratt starring in the male version of "Ghostbusters."
"I'd heard some rumblings about it," he said. "Who knew there were so many ghosts to be busted in the world? All I know is my ladies are going to kick ass and I would not want to go into battle without them," Feig said. Apart from the four female lead stars, the producers decided to add one of the hottest Hollywood actors today.
Chris Hemsworth, who is more known as Thor in Marvel's "The Avengers" and "Thor" series, is confirmed to appear in "Ghostbusters 3." Paul Feig posted a photo of the "Thor" star on Twitter and captioned it: "Our receptionist. #whoyougonnacall."
A few weeks after the announcement, it's been confirmed that three more actors will be joining the reboot. The Wrap reported that Andy Garcia will be joined by two more veteran actors Michael Kenneth Williams and Matt Walsh. Will they be taking over the role of Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Ernie Hudson?
According to the website, the "Ocean's Eleven" actor will star as the Mayor of New York City. The actor who appeared in "The Wire" and "Boardwalk Empire" will play a character named Hawkins while the "Veep" actor will portray the role of Rourke. Other new addition to the "Ghostbusters 3" cast include morning news anchor Pat Kiernan and former "Saturday Night Live" host Cecily Strong.
