It seems like Selena Gomez is over Justin Bieber and Zedd. The 22-year-old singer was recently spotted dating Alexander DeLeon, who is the lead singer of The Cab.
She was seen clutching the arm of the 26-year-old rockstar at Hotel Chantelle in New York.
"Things are heating up between them after they first got close last December during a trip to Dubai with mutual pal Kendall Jenner," an insider told Life & Style. The website also reported that Selena has been seeking dating advice from her celebrity friends.
"I just spent the weekend in Kansas with Paul Rudd, Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis and Johnny Knoxville," the pop princess shared. "I was like, 'Guys let's talk about some dates!' That's kinda my approach. When I meet cool people like them, I want what they have," she added. Could they have set up her date with the pop rock musician?
According to Hollywood Life, Selena Gomez and Alexander DeLeon are just good friends. In fact, he already has a girlfriend. The rocker has been dating supermodel Josephine Skriver since 2013. He even shared a cute photo of them together on Instagram and wrote: "it's not a coincidence that the word happiness has the same amount of letters as 'josephine.'"
Alex also shared a photo of himself staring at the huge ad of the 22-year-old model.
"Sometimes when my girlfriend is gone and it's really late at night I walk to Times Square to see her on the screens because the warmth of the lights and her smile up there make me feel closer to her," he wrote on Instagram.
Those are enough to dismiss the Selena Gomez Alexander DeLeon dating rumors. That means the "I Want You To Know" hitmaker is still officially single, but is she looking for a new love right now?
"I don't trust anyone..." the songstress told Us Weekly. "It's something that I have to live with and I have to find the balance of who I want in my life and who isn't good for me." Maybe that's why she's trying to stay away from her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber and can be seen hanging out more often with her BFFs.
