The latest trailer of "Spectre" was released during the recent NBA Finals game between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. In the 60-second TV spot, fans got a chance to learn more about the plot and characters of the sequel.
Daniel Craig returns as Agent 007 James Bond in the 24th installment and he is joined by Ralph Fiennes, Monica Bellucci, David Bautista, Naomi Harris, Christoph Waltz, Lea Seydoux, Stephanie Sigman, Rory Kinnear, and Andrew Scott. "Spectre" is directed by Sam Mendes, who also worked on the last James Bond film "Skyfall."
According to ComingSoon.net, the sequel begins when James Bond (Daniel Craig) receives a cryptic message from the past that would send him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization. The undercover agent peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind SPECTRE, while M (Ralph Fiennes) battles political forces to keep the secret service alive.
SPECTRE stands for special executive for counter-intelligence, terrorism, revenge, and extortion. The organization is headed by Ernst Stavro Blofeld and there were rumors that Christoph Waltz will be playing the new villain. However, Eon productions and the 58-year-old actor insisted that he will play a different character.
"That is absolutely untrue," Waltz said as reported by Mirror. "That rumor started on the internet, and the internet is a pest. The name of my character is Franz Oberhauser." Despite their claims, some people still believe that Blofeld will be back in James Bond 24; and the latest trailer hinted that when they showed a silhouette of Christoph.
Daniel Craig's character is known to be a chick magnet; and the footage showed him getting intimate with two women. Is James Bond getting caught in a love triangle between Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci) and Madeleine Swan (Lea Seydoux)?
Apart from the 50-year-old actress, who currently holds the record for being the oldest Bond girl, and the 29-year-old French actress, the producers decided to add another Bond girl named Stephanie Sigman so fans may see more than just a love triangle in James Bond 24.
