It's just a few weeks away before Channing Tatum and the hunks of "Magic Mike XXL" show off their dance moves on the big screen. The film is scheduled for release on July 1 and the lead star of the movie staged a fake preview of the "Magic Mike" sequel in Los Angeles.
According to Toronto Sun, the 35-year-old actor teamed up with Omaze.com, which is a charity website, in launching a competition for fans to get a chance to watch the advanced screening of "Magic Mike XXL." Tatum went undercover and disguised himself as an old and bald marketing executive.
Sydney Morning Herald reported that the actor interviewed some of the attendees about their thoughts on the 2012 stripper movie. Channing asked one fan who she thinks was the best actor in "Magic Mike" and her answer was Matthew McConaughey. All the actor could say to that was "okay, okay." He asked the other attendees what part of the movie they wanted to see in the sequel. "Probably the pelvic thrusting," one fan answered.
"Magic Mike" could be the modern version of "The Full Monty," but we may not see some frontal nudity in the film. Since the sequel is focused on the life of these male strippers, Channing Tatum wanted to let the audience get that 3D experience. That's why he asked them to wear their 3D glasses and before they know it, male strippers started dancing in front of them.
The dancers asked the disguised actor to join them in front and he started twerking like an old man. He even gave one of the audiences a lap dance before removing his fake hair and beard. "Channing Tatum twerked on my lap, so in that sense, I just peaked life," the woman whom he gave a lap dance said. "I had to fan myself for 15 minutes," another audience said.
