Many women got excited when the new poster of "Magic Mike XXL" was revealed.
Channing Tatum, who stars as Mike, shared the image on Instagram and captioned it: "Burning down the house for one last show...Tito. Ken. Mike. BDR. Tarzan. #MagicMikeXXL #July1"
Apart from Tatum, the sequel also stars Joe Manganiello as Big Dick Richie, Adam Rodriguez as Tito, Matt Bomer as Ken, and Kevin Nash as Tarzan. These guys can be seen doing their own dance pose in the new poster. The 35-year-old actor also shared a teaser of the movie on Instagram last Mother's Day.
Many fans are wondering what they can expect in the sequel of "Magic Mike" so Channing Tatum tried to reveal some cool details about "Magic Mike XXL" in a group interview which included Popsugar. In the first film, the star of "Jupiter Ascending" was more focused on his business and helping the girl that he likes and it seems that the new film will be more about the guys he will work with.
"My biggest regret in the first film was that we didn't get to live with the guys more, because they were a discovery for me," Tatum said. "I had never worked with any of them; I liked their work, [but] we wrote them very thin in the first draft of the first movie."
Channing also revealed that the theme of "Magic Mike XXL" will be more of a comedy than drama unlike last time. "It's definitely lighter. It's definitely more fun," he said. "It might be a little bit more up the alley of some things that people were expecting out of the first one. I would say it's less dark, for sure."
Apart from Channing, Joe, Adam, Matt, and Kevin, there was supposed to be another hunk joining the guys and that is Jamie Foxx. Tatum admitted that they experienced a casting dilemma when things didn't work out with the 47-year-old actor, but they finally realized that Jada Pinkett-Smith is perfect for the role of the emcee.
"We were stressing, we went through everybody because we find [Jada's character] in the deep South, and she just comes in and is a deep force in this movie and is a complete surprise," he said. Catch Channing Tatum and the rest of the boys bust their moves in "Magic Mike XXL" on July 1.
