Denver-based Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a fast-casual restaurant concept specializing in authentic Mediterranean cuisine, announced enhancements to its signature fresh-brewed iced tea blends.
All teas are now blended with organic ingredients, and two are 100 percent organic. Additionally, a brand new tea has been added to the mix, replacing one of the originals.
Lemongrass Ginger Green Iced Tea, a new 100 percent organic iced tea blend, is replacing the former Quince Quencher Iced Tea and is made only with organic lemongrass, ginger, green tea, and water.
The company's original Classic Black Iced Tea is now 100 percent organic. Additionally, the brewed Pomegranate Crisp Iced Tea and Hibiscus Mango Iced Tea Fusion have been reblended to incorporate organic ingredients.
"Our new organic iced tea blends not only deliver the same refreshing taste our guests know and love, they also fall in line with our green initiative incorporating more natural and organic items into our menu," says Alon Mor, Garbanzo founder, president, and CEO. "As Garbanzo continues to grow, our green program will grow with it fulfilling our goal of creating one of the healthiest fast-casual concepts available."
Garbanzo partnered with Teatulia Organic Teas to exclusively produce the new and organic iced tea blends.
The Teatulia tea garden does not use pesticides, unnatural irrigation, or machinery, cultivating its teas with the "natural harvest" method, which allows the land to thrive.
Garbanzo offers guests a variety of authentic Mediterranean items with an emphasis on flavor, freshness, and quality, as well as a healthy trans fat-free menu.
Guests have the ability to customize every meal with items such as pita, laffa, falafel, shwarma, hummus, seasoned rice, sauces, and dressings.
All Garbanzo salads and sauces are prepared on site daily, and the pitas are made from scratch throughout the day in every restaurant. Additionally, several ingredients are bought locally and some are imported directly from the Mediterranean region.
