A month before the Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield break up news emerged, the 26-year-old actress comfortably talked about her 31-year-old boyfriend.
During an interview with Diane Keaton for the May issue of Interview (via PEOPLE), the "Birdman" star was asked what her thoughts were regarding her boyfriend's comments on working with her.
"Andrew Garfield said, 'Working with Emma was like diving into a thrilling, twisting river and never holding on to the sides. From the start. To the end. Spontaneous. In the moment. Present. Terrifying. Vital. The only way acting with someone should be.' My God. I mean, what did you feel when you heard such a dream-come-true observation?" Keaton asked Stone.
"He is such a poet. [laughs] But that's the way he writes in general. So I hear it and of course my heart swells up," the actress said. "And I also know that he writes things like that on a daily basis. [laughs]." Emma Stone appeared to be in love with Andrew Garfield based on her recent interview so the break up rumors could be false.
Another proof that the two are still in touch with each other was a photo of the "Crazy, Stupid, Love." star carrying a brown paper bag with Andrew's name written on it. According to Mail Online, Emma appeared to be letting other people know that she and her boyfriend are still together or may have reunited.
PEOPLE reported back in April that the Hollywood couple was only on a break because of work, but they didn't breakup. "They're both a slave to their schedules. This time last year they were privately discussing marriage," their insider revealed.
According to the website, there are some people close to Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield who think that they can still fix their relationship when they're not that busy with their careers. "It's one of those situations where only Andrew and Emma quite know if they'll pick up where they left off or they've separated. They are just separated for work," their source said.
