The friendship of Rihanna with Jay Z may be causing marriage trouble for the R&B singer and his wife Beyonce.
The 27-year-old singer and the 45-year-old record producer have known each other for more than 10 years. According to Woman's Day, the successful hip hop artist signed the Bajan beauty to Def Jam Recordings when she was just starting her career in the music industry.
The magazine also reported that Beyonce is starting to get bothered by her husband's closeness to the "Diamonds" hitmaker. In fact, she even has a special phone from Jay Z and he allegedly has multiple phones to keep up with all his businesses.
"Jay has several phones, one of which he keeps reserved for Rihanna, supposedly to discuss business interests," an insider told Grazia magazine.
"It's obvious when she calls because he'll interrupt meetings, even walk away from the dinner table to speak with her," their source added. According to the UK magazine, Beyonce knows about Jay Z's different phone numbers, but she was surprised to find out that Rihanna has a special phone from her hubby.
Is she jealous of their friendship?
"She absolutely hates how close they are but feels powerless to stop it," an insider revealed. Beyonce is very supportive of her husband and she even attended the launch of Jay Z's new business venture called Tidal. Rihanna was reportedly present during the launch as well, but "Crazy In Love" hitmaker didn't make a scene.
"Beyonce is a peacekeeper by nature. And the last thing she wants is to cause a fuss while the spotlight is on their new venture," their source said. "But she feels increasingly frustrated that Jay refuses to accept there is anything unorthodox about his friendship with Rihanna."
In a separate report from Media Take Out, Riri's diss song "Bitch Better Have My Money" was about Jay Z's wife. According to Hollywood Life, Beyonce heard the song and knew right away that it was about her.
OK! Magazine also reported that the couple got into a fight after the 33-year-old singer found out that her husband was texting Rihanna while they were having dinner in West Hollywood.
