PSquared has launched a franchise that enables franchisees to deliver outsourced primary care services to skilled nursing facilities. The PSquared franchise utilizes the successful business model developed by ProHealth Partners founders Vin Penry and Rose Pryor.
"We have operated the ProHealth Partners business in Connecticut for five years and we currently serve over 50 skilled nursing facilities," stated Penry. "In 2012, roughly 9 million people over the age of 65 will need long-term care and by 2020 that number is expected to swell to over 12 million. This is the best opportunity to get in on the ground floor. Our goal is to become the brand name in our industry over the next few years."
PSquared provides credentialed medical practitioners (nurse practitioners, physicians assistant, etc) to convalescing centers, nursing homes and similar institutions for routine visits and specialized care under the direction of attending physicians. The result is a reduction in hospital re-admittances, greater efficiencies for the facilities and a life-style friendly career opportunity for the practitioners.
Franchisees will operate from a home office within a defined territory. "The business is for the placement of the credentialed practitioner. We do not dictate treatments or interfere with the care that is provided to the patient," said Stef Ferrari, President of PSquared.
The PSquared franchise appeals to both medical professionals and those with general business experience, " said Ferrari. " Our business model provides benefits for all parties, patients, nursing facilities, franchisees and their professional staff. We're seeking the best-qualified franchisees regardless of their background. Our training and support programs will teach them the business. We have also invested in a company that will provide our franchisees with billing services to enable them to focus on building their business and customer relationships."
