‘Ant-Man’ New Villain Revealed! Is Darren Cross The Man Behind The Yellowjacket? The Wasp And Red Queen May Be Introduced In The Film!

| By

Where there is a superhero, there is the enemy that's why many fans are wondering who will be the new villain in "Ant-Man."

There have been rumors coming out that Yellowjacket will be the rival of the shrinking superhero. Bad Ass Digest confirmed that the villain that Joblo has been referring to was indeed the Yellowjacket.

The website spilled out some spoilers about upcoming movies including "Ant-Man" and the main villain's name is Darren Cross. He runs Cross Technological Enterprises which is the competitor of Tony Stark's company. Cross is the cousin of another villain called Crossfire and there are rumors that the role will be played by either Corey Stoll (House of Cards) or Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring).

According to Joblo, Darren Cross will have a suit with a similar feel to Ant-man's but more military style, yellow and black in color, and with a tendril-looking apparatus coming off it's back (like with Agent Venom). In the Marvel comics, Cross appears more of a pink-colored Hulk so there could be merging of characters of multiple villains such as Yellowjacket.

Bad Ass Digest, on the other hand, reported that there have been speculations that Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) is the villain since he has the Yellowjacket for quite some time and he also had different superhero identities. However, they claimed that Pym is more of a mentor to Ant-Man in the movie.

I'm sure many of you are confused as to who really is the man behind the Yellowjacket. According to Movie Pilot, Yellowjacket is basically just a suit just like Ant-Man. Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) got his suit from Hank Pym. The suit becomes a villain when it fell into the hands of Darren Cross and they confirmed that the character will be played by Corey Stoll.

Since Darren Cross will be appearing in the Marvel movie, there have been rumors that the Wasp and the Red Queen could be introduced there as well since they were created by Cross Tech. Let's find out when "Ant-Man" hits the theaters on July 17.
