‘Ant-Man’ Copies The ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy?’ Paul Rudd’s Co-Star Bobby Cannavale Thinks It’s A Funny Film! ‘It Just Felt Like I Belong Here’

There are many superhero movies coming out lately, but what would make "Ant-Man" stand out among the rest?

Apart from having an outstanding cast, which is headed by Paul Rudd (Scott Lang/ Ant-Man) and Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), the movie will be directed by highly-acclaimed filmmaker Peyton Reed.

The 50-year-old film director is most known for producing hit comedies such as Jim Carrey's "Yes Man" and Jennifer Aniston's "The Break-Up." Based on his style of directing, there's a huge possibility that there are some funny moments in "Ant-Man" and Bobby Cannavale recently confirmed that.

"I haven't seen anything but it felt funny," the 44-year old actor told Nuke The Fridge. "It's Paul [Rudd], so I think they're not hiring [him] to be The Winter Soldier. It's going to have a sense of levity to it, like Guardians of the Galaxy."

It isn't surprising if Rudd will be able to bring in the same comic relief that Chris Pratt did to the box-office hit.

"Guardians is a blue chips superhero movie but it's a pretty funny film," Cannavele said.

"They just got the right people. When I looked around and saw who I was surrounded by, Corey Stoll, actors I've seen for years in little movies that I really liked, it just felt like I belong here," the comedian added.

Bobby Cannavele also talked about how much fun he had working with his co-stars Paul Rudd and Judy Greer.

"Both those actors are really good improvisers," he said. "Adam McKay and Paul did a big rewrite on that script, so the scenes themselves felt like an indie film. It really felt like a comedy that we were doing. I think that probably happened because Guardians of the Galaxy was such a success."

Based on what the Emmy Award-winning actor said, it seems that "Ant-Man" is copying the formula of "Guardians of the Galaxy," which is a mixture of comedy and action.
