On Wednesday, as Bank of America customers experienced significant issues accessing their accounts, many took to social media to share their frustrations.
One user expressed concern on Facebook, saying they had logged in only to find that their account information was missing, leaving them anxious about their financial status.

Bank of America Customers Report Major Outage
Another individual mentioned that while they could still see their credit card balance, their checking and savings accounts displayed a zero balance, adding to the uncertainty many customers were feeling.
In response to the growing number of reports, Bank of America released a statement later that afternoon, acknowledging the problem. According to CBS News, the bank explained that "several clients are encountering difficulties when trying to access their accounts and balance information."
They assured customers that the issue was being addressed and was "mostly settled." Additionally, Bank of America offered an apology for the inconvenience caused, reflecting their awareness of the widespread frustration.
Despite some users successfully regaining access to their accounts after navigating the bank's online platforms, many remained concerned about the impact of the disruption on their personal finances.
According to Downdetector, customers began reporting the issue as early as 9 a.m. Pacific Time. The problem affected several major cities, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, New York, and Boston.
Many users reported difficulties accessing their accounts through online banking, mobile apps, and even at ATMs. In some cases, customers were charged for cash withdrawals even though the machines didn't dispense any money.
Bank of America serves a large digital client base in California, with 8.3 million online users, including 2.2 million in Los Angeles, as noted on the bank's official website.
