The new generation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles now airing on kid's network Nickelodeon, will have its set of toys debuting at Toys "R" Us stores around the country, and on their official website, this month.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line will feature an array of action figures with beloved characters Leonardo, Donatella, Raphael, and Michelangelo, vehicles, role play items, and playsets by Playmates Toys, listed a press release issued by Toys"R"Us, Inc. on Wednesday. The brand new CG-animated version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will debut on Nick starting Saturday, September 29 at 11:00am.
"Nickelodeon has a hit on its hands with this relaunch of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and we fully expect kids to be clamoring to play with their favorite heroes in a half shell," Lisa Harnisch, Vice President, General Merchandise Manager, Toys"R"Us, U.S., stated for the press release. "We worked closely with Nickelodeon and Playmates Toys to create Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles merchandise and be able to offer these items in our stores so fans can experience the magic of 'Turtle power' even before the show airs."
Toys "R" Us will be getting their own exclusive sets of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures as part of the new line, which will be 10.5 inches long, and packaged with their signature weapons and accessories, noted the press release. The back of the four turtles' shells also open up to allow for storage of weaponry.
"We're excited that Toys"R"Us is rushing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys to their shelves, proving the strength of 'Turtle Power'," Manuel Torres, Senior Vice President, Global Toys, Nickelodeon Consumer Products, was quoted as stating for the press release. "Creating the atmosphere of the Ninja Turtle's sewer lair in their stores makes it look like the Turtles are leaping out of our TV series and into kids' hands."
