The Hooters restaurant in Tacoma, Wash., will reopen this Monday, and as part of the grand opening celebration, host a contest where 50 customers could win free wings for a year.

The Hooters branch in Tacoma recently underwent a full scale remodeling, said a press release issued by Hooters of America, LLC on Friday, and is now 4,200 square feet and can seat well beyond 388 guests. As part of renovating the fast-food chain to a more consumer-friendly environment, the store will have 29 flat-screen high-definition televisions, 40 tap handles, and a full liquor bar, listed the press release.

"It is very exciting to re-open this location on Monday and celebrate nearly ten years of serving food and fun in Tacoma," Rick Leukert, Chief Executive Officer, was quoted as stating for the press release. "We couldn't be happier to be a part of this great community."

The Tacoma branch of Hooters first opened up nearly 10 years ago in December 2002, noted the press release. It was closed down for a month this summer for a full-on renovation of the store, and as it will open this month, it will come with two weeks of celebrations, including parties and a giveaway.

Part of the opening will be the "Free Wings for a Year" giveaway, which will be handed out to the first 50 guests who arrive during the grand re-opening of the Tacoma restaurant on Monday, July 16. Free meals will be given to all military personnel with proper identification a week later, on Monday, July 23, said the press release.

The Tacoma Hooters restaurant is one of more than 430 branches located around the world, including 44 states in the nation, and 27 countries outside of the U.S., noted the press release. The first Hooters to ever open did so nearly 30 years ago, in Florida in 1983, and has been serving a menu full containing seafood, sandwiches, and of course Hooters famous chicken wings.
