The Arrow Season 3 winter finale had its fans' jaws dropped. The much anticipated mid-season finale of the CW Network show killed Oliver Queen a.k.a. The Arrow. The show's protagonists fall to the hands of Rha's al Ghul (Matt Nable) who he challenged in a fight to save his sister Thea (Willa Holand) who killed Sarah. Although fans are shocked by the death scene, they are not worried. They think Oliver (Stephen Amell) will return through the Lazarus Pit.
The Lazarus Pit is yet to be mentioned in any Arrow Season 3 episodes so fans have no other choice but wait for confirmation. It is also rare to see any of the cast talk about it. Katrina Law, who plays Nyssa al Ghul, talked about it in an interview with Alex Welch of Schmoes Know but she hardly gave any Arrow Season 3 spoiler.
Nyssa and Sarah Lance (Caity Lotz) were lovers in the show. That is why it is understandable to see her being very persistent in finding her killer. She had a chance to revive her partner by putting her in the Lazarus Pit. However, she didn't. Katrina Law said it is because it is not an option by the writers and producers.
"I think because Nyssa didn't even attempt to try to put Sara in the Lazarus pits that means that it was never an option. Whether that is because the writers have decided that the Lazarus pits will not be existing in the Arrow world or because the guidelines of The League will not allow it for some reason is yet to be seen."
Nyssa's father Rha's al Ghul is said to be the one who has the most control of Lazarus Pit. Katrina Law was asked if she have been in the restorative chemical pool and answered that it is unlikely. However, she said that it would be interesting to see that in flashbacks in the next Arrow Season 3 episodes.
"Completely guessing, I feel as though Ras Al Ghul and the League of Assassins would have strict guidelines and rules as to when the Lazarus pits would be allowed to be used. Being as how Talia hasn't been introduced, I don't think Nyssa has used them on her sister yet. I also don't know that this version of Nyssa would have been a prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp, but wouldn't it be interesting if we got to see that in a flashback?"
