Dickey's BBQ Pit Franchise Awarded 2012 Best Franchise Deal

Dickey's Barbecue was announced as the 2012 Best Franchise Deal in QSR magazine's July issue.

Dickey's Barbecue, which added 67 stores last year, and will create an additional 100 his year, including the one that just opened in Celina, TX, this week, was recognized as the best franchise, said a press release issued by Dickey's Barbecue on Thursday.

"We are thrilled to be recognized by QSR Magazine as the fastest growing and value leader in the barbecue segment," Richard Phillips, vice president of development for Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc., was quoted as stating for the press release. "Our explosive growth over the last two years proves we are recognized across the nation as a proven concept offering extensive training, ongoing operations support and energized marketing programs that ensure success."

Dickey's Barbecue opened in 1941, said the press release, in the major city of Dallas, and after 70 years in business, has been touted as the largest barbecue fast-food chain in the world. More than 230 Dickey's stores can be found in over 43 states across the country. The motto for the franchise is "Passionate about the Art of Great Barbecue."

"Dickey's Barbecue offers over 70 years of experience and high growth potential," Phillips continued for the press release. "Our brand has real estate options ranging from traditional free-standing restaurants to shopping center end caps and nontraditional units allowing franchisees an opportunity to capitalize on favorable commercial real estate throughout the United States."

A special offer given by Dickey's is free kids meals on Sundays, noted the press release, as well as affordable family food meals and packs for lunch and dinner. The packs usually contain a choice of two meats, three medium sides, six rolls, and Dickey's barbecue sauce, listed the press release.
