The first Bruegger's Bagels store will open at the Pittsburgh International Airport this week, making it the fifth Brugger's location at an American airport.
To mark the grand opening celebration of the bagel shop open at PIT, the restaurant will be hosting an event this Wednesday, where travelers and employees can purchase $0.99 bagels with cream cheese or medium coffees, said a press release issued by Airmall USA, a leading airport concessions developer in North American and main operator of stores at PIT.
"Bruegger's offers travelers the perfect bite on the go for breakfast, lunch or dinner," Jay Kruisselbrink, vice president of development for AIRMALL Pittsburgh, stated for the press release. "With a menu of take-out items such as an egg sandwich on a freshly baked bagel as well as a wide variety of sandwiches, salads and soups, Bruegger's is bound to become a traveler favorite. We're pleased to welcome them to the concessions program at the AIRMALL at PIT."
A contest will also be held on Wednesday to win one of ten 2012 Bottomless Mugs that allow consumers to free coffee, tea, or fountain soda for the rest of 2012, said the press release.
Bruegger's, which was founded in New York in 1992, always offered a wide variety of freshly prepared breakfast and lunch options like breakfast sandwiches, hand-tossed salads, hearty soups, sandwiches, paninis, and desserts, listed the press release.
The new store at Pittsburgh International Airport will be located at Concourse B of the terminal, and expands about 1,372 sq. ft. across for the store.
