Manny Pacquiao Floyd Mayweather fight talks are getting more intense each day, especially after 'Pretty Boy' taunted his Filipino rival in an Instagram post last week. Mayweather Jr. again mocked Pacquiao by sharing a video of the latter's loss to Juan Manuel Marquez wherein the Filipino fighter was put into sleep in the sixth round. Fans immediately attacked Floyd's Instagram and urged him to fight Pacquiao.
While discussions for the Manny Pacquiao Floyd Mayweather fight are still in the early stage of discussion, a person close to the undefeated American fighter's camp insists it is going to happen. He said that his client wants to fight Pacquiao 'real bad' and that there's going to be two bouts between the two.
"Floyd wants to fight him real bad. Floyd, that's all he talks about is fighting Manny Pacquiao," said Sam Watson told in an interview with Fight Hype. Watson is the right-hand man to Mayweather's adviser, Al Haymon.
"So once the deal is set and done, you'll see the biggest fight you ever saw in your life. I believe there's going to be two fights."
Watson indicated that the Manny Pacquiao Floyd Mayweather fight people should see are two fighters at the top of their game and that can happen now after the eight-division world champion's dominating victory over Chris Algieri last November 24.
"He beat [Algieri] up real bad. He whipped on that boy. He's back to being Manny Pacquiao. That makes the fight great for Floyd. Floyd wants him to be at his best," said Watson.
"Everybody thought that he had slowed down. He didn't slow down. Floyd's got the best defense. Floyd's the smartest fighter out there. Floyd's my best friend in the world. So I can't wait until that fight happens."
Shortly after that win by the Filipino fighter over Chris Algieri, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum said that the Manny Pacquiao Floyd Mayweather fight only needs a phone call from Floyd is everything they need to push it through.
