| By

Expedia CruiseShipCenters, part of the largest travel company in the world Expedia Inc., celebrated their annual 2014 National Conference by embarking on a Norwegian Breakaway.

The company takes advantage of the opportunity of raising money to fund for breast cancer research and awareness. The fundraising was held at both the corporate and franchisee level and was able to raise more than $20,000 this year.

Dressed in pink form heat to toe, conference attendees participated in a spirited walk workout onboard to show support in seeking for a cure for breast cancer. Personal donations and pledges from people and even corporation made by Norwegian Cruise Line, Azamara Club Cruises and Expedia CruiseShipCenters onboard raised $10,000.

President of Expedia CruiseShipCenters, Matthew Eichhorst, said, "Our National Conference is the perfect platform to host our annual walk in support of finding a cure."

"So many of our Franchise Partners, Vacation Consultants, corporate staff, and supplier partners have been affected by this disease, so this event brings us all together each year to support this worthy cause in a fun, meaningful way," said Eichhorst.

The Expedia CruiseShipsCenters support various charities like Cruise for Cure that is organized by Expedia CruiseShipCenters franchise partner, Barry Foot, and Dress for the Cause, an annual event in attendees dressed in all pink. There are also local initiatives that support the fundraising efforts, including auctions, direct donations and restaurant fundraiser.

The "Bigger, Better, Stronger, Together" 2014 National Conference theme of the company will not only apply on the building of a successful franchise network in North America, but it will have an impact to the organization when they continue to expand in size.
