To celebrate the 100th anniversary since the introduction of the Oreo cookie, both Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins will be introduction several treats and desserts featuring the famous cookie.
Dunkin' Donuts will be releasing, for a limited time, an Oreo Coolatta in Coffee and Vanilla Bean flavors, noted a press release issued by Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins on Monday, that will include Oreo cookie crumbles in the drinks, topped with whipped cream.
As with Dunkin' Donuts, there will of course be donuts featuring Oreos, including the Oreo donut, filled with vanilla butter crème, frosted in whited icing and Oreo cookie crumbles, and the Oreo crumble donut, a ring donut with white icing and crumbled pieces of Oreos on it, said the press release.
"Whether you twist, lick or dunk, everyone has their own favorite way to enjoy an OREO cookie. Our partnership with OREO represents a new take on some of America's favorite iconic sweet treats. With our new OREO Coolatta frozen drinks, OREO 31 Below soft serve, donuts and frozen treats, all featuring OREO cookies, Dunkin' Donuts and Baskin-Robbins are giving OREO cookie fans a fun new way to enjoy their favorite cookie on the go, any time of day," Stan Frankenthaler, Executive Chef and Vice President of Product Innovation at Dunkin' Brands, stated for the press release.
Baskin-Robbins will have several ice creams and frozen products that will contain Oreos, for a limited time, as well as milkshakes and sundaes, said the press release.
Baskin-Robbins' July flavor of the month, said the press release, will be the Oreo 'N Chocolate, made with chocolate ice cream and Oreo pieces swirled into a fudge crackle ribbon. It will be available by the scoop in a cup or cone, and as a milkshake. In addition to the flavor of the month, the Oreo ice cream cake bites, with Oreos cookies 'n cream ice cream topped over chocolate cake will be available, as well as the Oreo cookie cake, Oreo 'n chocolate layered sundae, and Oreo 31 Below Soft Serve, which is a vanilla soft serve with chopped Oreo cookie pieces, listed the press release.
All products are available for a limited time at participating stores.
