How To Get Away With Murder Return Will Answer Questions About Michaela's Missing Ring And Why She Signed The Prenup Deal

| By

When "How To Get Away With Murder" returns next year, each character involved in the murder and cover up will finally get rattled by what they have done. Their private lives will be ruined. The winter finale, which revealed who Sam's real killer is, raised more questions than answer. Fans can't wait but to see the ABC drama resume to finally know what will happen to the characters after the murder night.

The characters will be caught in a web of conspiracy and deception when "How To Get Away with Murder" returns on January. However, the death of Sam and their decision to cover it up is not the only thing that will haunt them. As we all know, Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) and her students have a good life before things got out of hand during the camp night, like Michaela Pratt (Aja Naomi King).

Michaela Pratt already has a lot in her plate even before the murder night. She is dealing with her fiancee's past sexuality that he kept from her all these years. Then there's her overbearing future mother-in-law who is doing anything to limit her access to her boyfriend's property. Michaela signed that prenup contract. In case you are wondering why she did it, here is why.

According to a "How To Get Away with Murder" scoop from the Entertainment Weekly's Inside TV quoting series creator Peter Nowalk, Michaela did it out of fear.

"Is the idea of signing a prenup that bad when maybe you could lose it all and go to jail for the rest of your life? No," executive producer Pete Nowalk. "We all crave drama in our lives, but nothing seems like that big of a deal anymore. You just have to cling to what makes you feel safe and you'll do whatever you can to do that."

However, with the events that took in the "How to Get Away with Murder" finale, including losing her engagement ring, things will become more difficult for her.

"The whole night comes to bite her in the ass and it's going to have definite personal fallout for her that we'll see," Nowalk added.

What will happen to Michaela? Find out when "How To Get Away with Murder" returns on January 29 next year.
