What makes you wish for the "Da Vinci's Demons" Season 3 release date to come now? Is it Da Vinci's (Tom Riley) growth? Zoroaster becoming more mature? Or is it Count Riario (Blake Ritson) becoming more of a good man? Yes, you read that right. After spending some time with Da Vinci in the second season to find the Book of Leaves, people got to see that the main nemesis of the show's protagonist has a good side, too.
Although his loyalty to the pope is yet to dwindle, that is enough for the viewers to think that Riario can change. Go back and watch earlier episodes while waiting for "Da Vinci's Demons" Season 3 release date and see for yourself how Riario showed his soft side.
For Blake Ritson, his character ended up that way because of everything he has gone through.
"This season, it's really morally complex," Ritson said. "All the characters are put through the ringer. They're all knocked off their pedestal. There's no neat little barometer of good and evil anymore."
Will audiences see more of that in "Da Vinci's Demons'" third season?
"Essentially, right from the beginning, (Riario's) considered himself to be this crusader for good. He's always wanted to essentially, save the world in his own kind of egotistical way. I think he's in a particularly dark place this year. He's in search of a new reason to live. He's in search for God to answer his pleas. It takes him into some pretty hairy situations. It gets messy."
According to earlier "Da Vinci's Demons" Season 3 spoiler straight from the Comic-Con, major characters will undergo major transformation. The show will also touch the back stories of these character so that the audience will get to know them even more.
"Da Vinci's Demons" Season 3 showrunner John Shiban, taking over for David Goyer, is going to do a Breaking Bad on the show.
"Put emphasis on character: It's one of the lessons I learned from Breaking Bad," Shiban said in a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly which tried to get more Da Vinci's Demons Season 3 spoiler on the show's set.
"That's why people tune in-because they want to get to know and go on a personal journey with great characters."
