McDonald's stores in the southern California region are about to get a couple of new items added to their menu: the Spicy Chicken McBites and McCafe Chocolate Chip Frappe.
The two items are available as part of the summer menu for McDonald's, said Southern California McDonald's in a press release issued on Monday. The items will be available at the almost 600 franchised and company-owned McDonald's branches throughout the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Ventura, and San Bernardino, listed the press release.
"At McDonald's we're continuously expanding our menu with new innovations to meet our customers' evolving taste and lifestyle," Michael Mangione, Jr., McDonald's owner/operator and president of the McDonald's Operators' Association of Southern California (MOASC), stated for the press release. "We're excited to offer our new Spicy Chicken McBites and McCafe Chocolate Chip Frappe as two more on-the-go snack options that deliver the great taste, and premium quality that customers come to expect from McDonald's."
The Spicy Chicken McBites, like the Chicken Bites already available, are crispy, poppable pieces of white chicken breast seasoned with a variety of spices for a good balance of heat and flavor with every bite, noted the press release. The Spicy Chicken McBites will be placed in a new package, and the limited-time-only menu item will cost $1.99 for a three-ounce snack pack, $2.99 for a regular-sized five-ounce snack package, and $4.99 for a shareable box at 10 ounces, said the press release. From June 25 to June 29, southern California McDonald's will be offering the snack-sized three-ounce pack of the Spicy Chicken McBites for $1.00, though prices may vary from store to store, said the press release.
The McCafe Chocolate Chip Frappe combined the tastes of mocha, caramel, coffee and chocolate, freshly prepared and made to order, said the press release, and also available for a limited time this summer. The drinks will be available at $2.59 for a small, 12-ounce size. Free samples of the Frappe will be given out from July 5-7 between 7:00am - 7:00pm while supplies last and at participating stores.
