Del Taco announced expansion plans in the Chicago area starting 2016. A total of eight restaurants are slated to open, bringing the Mexican quick-service to the midwest.
Director of franchise development, Laura Del Taco, said, "We've had strong interest from franchise candidates in this part of the country for some time, and we've found a solid development partner."
The franchise group Tasty Group Chicago leads the expansion in the metropolitan and commits to opening eight restaurants exclusively in the area. The group plans to open the first restaurant in July, 2016.
A Tasty Group representative said, "As a Midwest native, I believe there's a void in the fresh Mexican quick-service restaurant category in the region, and I'm confident that Del Taco will thrive here."
The representative said there's a void in Mexican food options so they look forward to becoming a staple restaurant in the community.
In a quick service category quickly growing in size in the industry, Del Taco attracts customers of all income levels, demographics, and age groups. The company seeks to partner with strong and qualified franchisees, with financial strength and experience in the food service.
Del Taco provides extensive training to their franchisees, including operational and marketing support. The company continues extensive research to improve the menu and to provide satisfying experience to customers.
With 550 restaurants in 16 states, Del Taco aims to grow their business in the Mexican quick-service restaurant category. They provide fresh, made-to-order American and Mexican food to customers.
