Summit Entertainment released a 10-second teaser for the release of their newest trailer for the final installment of their hit franchise in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," out this November.
The teaser for the trailer was released in part to help celebrate the birthday of one of the lead characters in the series, vampire Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson), who would turn 111 on June 20, 2012, said Summit Entertainment and LionsGate in a press release issued on Monday. The full trailer for the fourth movie in "The Twilight Saga" will be released on 8:00am EST on Wednesday, June 20th.
One of the biggest news scenes featured in the 10-second teaser is the first appearance of vampire-human hybrid Renesmee Cullen, daughter of the two lead characters, Edward and Bella Cullen (the latter portrayed by Kristen Stewart). The baby eventually grows to the age of around 10 years old by the end of the film, and is then portrayed by model-turned-actress Mackenzie Foy.
The first photos of Foy as Renesmee with her on-screen parents were originally released by Entertainment Weekly earlier this month.
Director Bill Condon commented on how the three actors bonded as playing parents and child on-screen for the final film.
"It's a hugely important part," Condon told Entertainment Weekly. "They were amazing with her. It really brought something paternal out in Rob, and Kristen was especially protective. I'd have to interrupt them when they were in deep conversation to get going with a scene."
Pattinson and Stewart, who in their early 20s are not parents in real-life, commented on their relationship with Foy behind-the scenes.
"I loved chatting with Mackenzie," Stewart said to Entertainment Weekly. "I'm always curious about what's going on in the minds of kids on set. She's really close to the age I was when I started."
"We're all around the same age and we're really not polite to each other anymore," Pattinson noted to EW. "You'd have to tone it down when Mackenzie was around. She had a little swear jar, and I think she made 850 bucks or something."
The teaser also featured more glimpses of evil vampire clan the Volturi, cast with Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning. The film is set for a November 16, 2012 release worldwide.
